This week we decided to go in search of beaver field signs along Gradiško lake. We were tipped that beavers exist in the area through Beavertrack app (https://life-beaver.eu/en/beavertrack/). Exploring the site, we noticed several gnawed trees and branches. Some of the beaver teeth marks looked old, some of them were fresh. We noticed potential beaver hut close to Drtijščica brook. Signs of beavers were noticed especially around areas with dense vegetation growth or where the shore of the lake has greater distance with the pedestrian paths.
