In collaboration with the GRM Novo mesto (Centre for Biotechnology and Tourism) we carried out a lecture on beaver. The students became familiar with biology and ecology of the species and the most common challenges and solutions for lessening the conflict between beaver and men. While on the field excursion to the neighbouring stream, it was possible to observe beaver habitat with a beaver-built hut and dams. The students also promised to help out with the collection of the beaver data: they will report on the signs of beaver activity in their home environment.
