On Thursday, February 9, 2023, we prepared a workshop for a group of children in the Gornji Petrovci kindergarten. We introduced beaver and otter; a rodent and a carnivore. With the help of the stuffed animals, the children were able to take a closer look at these two mysterious animals of our waters. They also got to know paw prints, felt the fur and even sniffed the beaver tree. With the help of graphic illustrations, we also introduced the everyday life of the two animals (what they eat, where they live, how they take care of their young, …). The children really brightened our day with their questions and stories about the beaver and the otter.
